Re: March 10---Measure-ing is Atkins Successful!!!

Sorry Deb, I know you have alot on your mind, I will keep you in my prayers, hope you can get a nap.

Patricia, measuring is important in Atkins, weighing and measuring is something they suggest in the new book, they stress how important it is to know the size of the serving you are eating, plus the importance of getting 4-6 oz of protein at each meal.

Hump Day...down hill to the weekend. Had a nice invigorating walk with my friend yesterday, my ears about froze off and my nose was so cold it hurt, but it felt good to get out and move and get the heart rate up and laugh and laugh and laugh.

Need to decide "What's for dinner" for tonight, need to take out the meat...decisions, decisions, decisions...I need another cup of coffee before I decide...

You all have a great low carb day!

Re: March 10---Measure-ing is Atkins Successful!!!

My father-in-law passed away unexpectedly and I am still trying to regroup. Not exactly eating low carb but not really doing any damage either. And I either have allergies or a cold. No energy, although I have gone jogging once and did the elliptical last night.

I will probably be back on track as soon as our daily life gets more or less back to normal.

Re: March 10---Measure-ing is Atkins Successful!!!

So sorry for you loss, Tessa!

I am so glad my client is better and has gone to her day program today, as i am exhausted! Went back to bed at 7am just woke up about 11am ish..

What do you guys do when all you want is a giant glass of OJ???? (I thankfully do not have any in the house!) I'm def. fighting something off a cold possibly allergies.. feeling like I have the energy of a sloth & still even though I'm making sure I eat low carb, nothing is tasting good..

but I will push on! Happy Low-carbing all!

Try orange flavored Crystal light or sugar free koolaid, or sugar free jello.

Re: March 10---Measure-ing is Atkins Successful!!!

Hi, All!

Well, the big quarterly push at work is over, and my backlog hath increased due to the juggling of deadlines. A day or two of catch-up and a few extra hours and I will be fine.

However, keeping that "one pound from goal" from being "three pounds from goal" is a struggle, but I am working on it! I keep adding carbs and my scale keeps adding tenths of a pound. It IS an experiment!

Patricia, measurements DO count, but not just in how we measure our food intake but ALSO how motivating it is for our "vital stats" to shrink, as our beloved measuring tape will attest!

Deb, lots of things on your plate right now. You are an over-achiever...IF you can, say "Don't sweat the small stuff."

Charmaine, you're so supportive! Thanks!

Tessa - may I add my condolences. You are practical in understanding "regrouping." The exercise was a great idea.

Shawna, push on happy girl! You have it going.

Hi, Becky! I know you are there!

My best to my ASG buddies!

Toni
